In the 1980’s, Matthew was the third most common male name in the United States of America. In the ‘80s alone, there were 458, 596 of us, approximately. That is about 2.4% of all the males born in the decade. That is more than the total population of 52 countries. My name is so common, that I rarely had a class where there was not another one of us lurking behind another desk. On one of the streets I grew up on, there were three others, I made four, all with the name of Matt.
I am a big fan of facts and stuff, Guess you could call me curious. Some, maybe most, are useless facts bouncing around in my head, but there are a few that are of good use. Because of this curiosity, I have become a big fan of analytics and usability. My job in San Diego as a user experience designer with digital-telepathy has encouraged me to pursue my passion and use it to help create a mold better performing websites.
My education was interesting. In short; began as a Mechanical Engineer, paid money to be a multimedia designer, had professors tryto convert me into a graphic designer, worked as a marketing manager and ended up a user experience designer. All of these fields are related and the skills I retain as I have moved through each has helped with the next.
